Edwin Towers

Edwin Towers is a 13-story high-rise located in the Fourth Ward area of uptown at 201 West 10th Street. The building, constructed in 1967, has a brick and concrete exterior. It was built by CHA as an affordable elderly housing facility under HUD’s Public Housing program.
Edwin Towers has been designated as a near elderly/elderly community under CHA’s Designated Housing Plan. Management has made significant strides to improve the quality of life for residents by working closely with the resident association. The property has a viable resident organization that provides an array of activities for the residents.

Hall House

Hall House is a former hotel located at 426 N. Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte. The building was constructed in 1940 with a brick exterior. It was purchased by the CHA in 1983 and renovated for use as affordable senior and disabled housing under the Public Housing program. Hall House has been designated as a near elderly/elderly community under CHA’s Designated Housing Plan. The CHA provides parking for the Police Department on this site.
Hall House is located in the active uptown district. Recent development includes the TransAmerica complex, located at Seventh Street and N. Tryon, which include office, retail and luxury residential condominiums. Other new office buildings within blocks of the site include the Interstate Johnson Lane Building and the 525 Building. Other projects recently announced for the area include the construction of a new office building at City Fair and renovation of the old Montaldos building for a craft center. Hall House is also within three blocks of the new First Ward Place community being developed on the site of the former Earle Village.
